Brief Outline:

Job Title – Practice Manager (Maternity Cover)

Maternity Cover –This role would be a temporary fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave comprising of a full time position for approximately 1 year commencing at the start of August 2017. The contract would be subject to termination once the current full-time employee returns to work with the possibility of this leading to a part-time role once the maternity cover contract is completed.

This is a varied role with responsibility for the day to day running of a longstanding and busy Valuation and Building Surveying Practice. You will have a small team reporting to you to assist you in maintaining a smooth operation.

Main Tasks:

· Client liaison both over the telephone and here in the office

· Diary management

· Client billing / Accounts

· Liaison with Estate Agents / Lenders

· Providing clients with quotations for all levels of services offered

· Issuing Terms of Business

· Management of jobs database

· Occasional audio typing

· Responsible for purchasing, including monitoring and maintaining supplies of stationary etc.

· Update the Website with suitable blogs and liaison with our Website Company

· Process monthly salaries

· Manage the outsourcing of the payroll

· Process monthly management reports and target figures

· Liaison with Accountants to produce necessary reports

· Provide PA support to Partners

· Responsible for the office space

Professional Competencies:

· Excellent customer service

· Strong communication skills with a professional telephone manner

· Basic accounting skills (fully supported by the Firm’s Chartered Accountants)

· IT literate and a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products

· You will have good organisational, time management and planning skills as well as a thorough grasp of administration processes and procedures

· You will be an excellent communicator at all levels, detail oriented, flexible, confident and enthusiastic with a can do attitude

· Previous experience within an Office Administrator / Office Manager role will be helpful but full “on the job” training / induction given.

Remuneration:

Salary guide £25,000 plus holidays and benefits

Working Hours:

09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday
